Leawo Video Converter Ultimate for Mac contains Mac Video Converter, Mac Audio Converter, Mac DVD Ripper, Mac DVD Creator, Mac DVD Copy, Photo Slideshow Maker, Photo Slideshow Burner, and Mac Video Downloader. How to Copy and Back up DVD

Step 1 Add DVD file

Insert your source DVD disc into the DVD drive or get source DVD folder/ISO image file ready. Under the “Copy” module, click the inverted drop-down arrow icon next to the “Add UHD/Blu-ray/DVD” button and then select “Add from CD-ROM”, "Add from folder" or "Add iso file" option to load souce DVD file according to your needs.

Step 2 Choose DVD copy mode

After loading source DVD file, 3 different DVD copy modes are available: Full Movie, Main Movie and Custom Mode. Full Movie mode enables you to copy and back up all DVD titles from source DVD file, Main Movie mode takes the longest DVD title as the default title for you to copy but allows you to switch to another one, while Custom Mode enables you to freely select any DVD title(s) you want to copy and back up. After choosing DVD copy mode, select subtitles and audio tracks. Meanwhile, at the bottom left corner, select either DVD-9 or DVD-5 for output upon your needs.

Step 3 DVD backup settings

Click the green “Copy” button and then on the popup sidebar complete more DVD backup settings, including: "Copy to", "Disc Label" and "Save to" options. "Copy to" option allows multiple choices. Choose one according to your need.

Note: If you want to copy DVD disc to DVD disc but have one DVD drive only, you could firstly copy DVD disc to ISO image file, and then eject source DVD disc to insert target DVD disc to copy the ISO image file to blank DVD disc with this program.

Step 4 Start copying DVD

Click the “Copy” button at the bottom of the sidebar to start copying DVD movies to computer or blank disc. Leawo Video Converter Ultimate for Mac will immediately start the DVD backup process. You could view the DVD backup process on the copying interface.



How to Convert DVD and Video on Mac OS X

Step 1 Add source files

Open the “Convert” section. If you want to convert video or audio files, click “Add Video” button to browse and load source video or/and audio files for loading. If you want to convert DVD disc or folder, click the “Add UHD/Blu-ray/DVD” button. You could also directly drag and drop source media files into this program for converting. After loading, you could play back loaded videos, select subtitles, click the blue “Merge” button to merge all loaded files into one big file, etc.

Note: When you load DVD movies for converting, you’re provided with 3 different loading mode:
Full Movie: the program would load entire source DVD movie.
Main Movie: the program would automatically load the longest title.
Custom Mode: you could freely determine which titles to load for converting.
Subtitles and audio tracks could be selected under Main Movie and Custom Mode.

Step 2 Set output profile

Click the drop-down box before the big green “Convert” button on the sub-menu bar. Then select “Change” option to enter Profile panel, where you could select a profile as output profile.

Note: You could customize selected profile. After selecting output profile, click the drop-down box before the green “Convert” button and then select “Edit” option. You’re then guided to the Profile Settings panel, where you could adjust video codec, quality, bit rate, resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio codec, audio quality, sample rate, etc.

Step 3 Set output directory

After setting output profile, return to the main interface and then click the green “Convert” button on the sub-menu bar. A sidebar would pop up on the right. Set output directory in “Save to” option.

Step 4 Start converting

At last, click the “Convert” button at the bottom of the popup sidebar. The program would start converting immediately.



How to Burn Video to DVD

Step 1 Add video files

Under the “Burn” module, click “Add Video” to browse and load videos for burning. You could load multiple videos. After loading, set the output target disc type (DVD-9, DVD-5), quality and aspect ratio at the bottom.

Step 2 Select disc menu

If you don’t want a disc menu for final DVD file, click the “No Menu” option on the right sidebar. Otherwise, select one from the right sidebar. By clicking the middle of selected disc menu, you could get preview.

Note: Video Converter Ultimate allows you to design a disc menu via its internal menu designer. On the menu preview panel, click the pencil icon on the sub-menu bar to invoke the disc menu designer. You could add background image, music or video, change main menu and chapter titles, adjust title text content, color, size, font, position, etc.

Step 3 Burn settings

After saving disc menu, click the green “Burn” button on the sub-menu bar and then finish some settings regarding Burn to, Disc Label, and Save to.

Note: If you want to burn video to DVD disc, you need to insert blank and writable DVD disc into the disc drive beforehand.

Step 4 Start burning

After settings, click the “Burn” button on the burn setting sidebar to start burning.



How to Burn ISO to DVD

Step 1 Add ISO file

Insert your blank writable disc into the disc drive and launch this program. Under the “Burn” module, click the inverted drop-down arrow icon next to the “Add Video” button and then select “Add iso file” option. The program would then let you browse and load ISO file.

Step 2 Burn settings

On the popup “Add iso file” window, set Copy to and Disc Label.

Note: If you want to burn video to DVD disc, you need to insert blank and writable DVD disc into the disc drive beforehand.

Step 3 Start ISO to disc burning

Click the “Burn” button on the “Add iso file” to start ISO to disc burning.



How to Download Online Videos

Step 1 Set download path

On the menu bar, open "Leawo Prof. Media > Preferences..." option. And then open the “Download” tab to set download path in the "Save videos to" box.

Step 2 Enter video URL

Copy the URL of target video you want to download and past it into the browser address bar under the “Download” section. Then click “Enter” key on the keyboard to let this video downloader detect target videos. All videos detected in different resolution would be displayed.

Step 3 Download online video

On the list, select a video in resolution you want, and click the download icon to start downloading. You could see all downloading videos under “Downloading” tab.

Step 4 After-download options

Under the “Downloaded” tab, you could see all online videos you’ve downloaded. Select a downloaded video and right click to choose after-download operations. You could Add to Convert or Add to Burn freely.



How to Turn Photos to Photo Slideshow Video

Step 1 Add source photos

Open the "Convert" module and then click the "Add Photo" option to browse and import source photos for generating into photo slideshow. Selected photos would be generated into slideshow automatically upon loading. You're able to play back and edit generated photo slideshow as you like.

Step 2 Set output format

Click the drop-down box right before the big green "Convert" button and then select "Change" option to enter the Profile panel for output format setting.

Note: After setting output profile, if you need, you could re-open the drop-down box and then click the "Edit" option to enter the Profile Settings panel, where you could adjust video and audio parameters of selected profile, including: video codec, bit rate, aspect ratio, frame rate, resolution, quality, audio codec, sample rate, channel, etc.

Step 3 Set output directory

Save Profile Settings and then return to the main interface. Click the big green "Convert" button. On the popup sidebar, open the "Save to" box to set an output directory.

Step 4 Output slideshow

Finally, on the sidebar, click the bottom "Convert" button to output generated slideshow. The output photo slideshow would be saved in the format you've selected for your device.


How to Burn Photos to DVD Photo Slideshow

Step 1 Add source photos

Go to the "Burn" module and then click the "Add Photo" button. You could also add photo folder by clicking the inverted triangle arrow next to the "Add Photo" button and then selecting "Add Photo Folder" option. You could select as many photos as you have. If the photos you want to add are in different folders, don't worry. You could add them later during editing. Selected photos would be firstly generated into slideshow and then could be burned to DVD. After loading, you could play back and edit generated photo slideshow, set output disc type, quality and aspect ratio at the bottom.

Step 2 Set disc menu

You could add a disc menu to the final DVD photo slideshow by selecting one on the right sidebar. Click the middle of selected disc menu template to get an instant preview.

Note: Furthermore, you could design a disc menu for adding to the output DVD photo slideshow by clicking the pencil icon on the disc menu preview panel. You could add background music/image/video, adjust title content and position, change text color, size, font, etc. Click the "Save" button to save designed disc menu into Custom group.

Step 3 Burning settings

Click the big green "Burn" button to call out a sidebar, where you need to finish some settings: Burn to, Disc Label and Save to. If you want to burn photo slideshow to DVD disc, you need to firstly insert a blank and writable DVD disc into the disc drive and then select disc drive under "Burn to" option. After setting, click the bottom "Burn" button to start burning generated photo slideshow to DVD.


How to Edit Generated Photo Slideshow

After loading, source photos would be generated into photo slideshow automatically. You could then click the "Edit" icon, or right click generated photo slideshow and then select "Edit" option to enter the photo slideshow editing panel.

Step 1. Edit photo slideshow video

Under the "Video" tab, you could import extra photos, adjust photo position, rotate photo, remove photos, set output video effect, etc.

Step 2. Edit photo slideshow audio

Under "Audio" tab, you're able to add background music and set audio effect.



How to Edit Video

Under “Convert” and “Burn” modules, you could retouch media files via internal video editor. After loading source media files, select a loaded file, right click it and then select “Edit” option on the popup right-click menu to enter the editing panel.

Trim

Open the “Trim” tab to trim video length. Set Start Time and End Time, or directly drag the limiters on the playback to keep video clip you want to convert and trim unchecked video clips.

Watermark

Open “Watermark” tab and slide “Watermark” option to green. Then you could choose to add Text or Image watermark for final results. You could get custom watermark by changing parameters like color, font, size, position, transparency, etc.

Crop

In “Crop” tab, select a Zoom, then set Left and Top values, or directly drag the dot frame on the left Original Preview window to crop video size and remove unwanted margins. You could also rotate videos for a special angle of view.

Effect

Open “Effect” tab, adjust the Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and VolumeZoom.

Remove Noise

Open “Remove Noise” tab, and then switch the "Remove Noise" button to green to let this program remove noise from source video/audio files.

Create Chapters

Under the "Burn" module, in the editing panel, you could even create chapters for output Blu-ray/DVD content. Open “Create Chapter” tab, adjust the Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and VolumeZoom.



Apply 3D effect

You could create 3D video, DVD files from 2D media sources. After loading source media file in “Convert” or “Burn” module, right click loaded file and then select “Edit” option on the popup right-click menu. Open the “3D” tab on the popup window and slide “3D Mode” to green. Select a 3D effect from the 6 preset ones and adjust 3D Depth at will. An instant preview is available via the player.
