Motorola X Phone release on August 1st

The newly leaked photos tease unique design features such as Magic Glass, a laminated aluminum structure, with dual LTE MIMO antennas that could help boost broadband speeds. According to GottaBeMobile, Magic Glass will allow Motorola to create a seamless device with a more “premium feel.”

“Moto X features something called Moto Magic Glass,” Android and Me’s Taylor Wimberly wrote on his Google+ page. “This is a single sheet of Gorilla Glass which is molded to a special polymer to make a continuous surface that wraps around the entire front and edges of the device. There is zero gap with the back.”

As previously reported, rumored specifications for the new Motorola Moto X includes a 4.5 inch HD display, with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The Moto X will be powered by a dual core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. The smartphone will come with an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

  • The Latest Android Rumor Roundup

Posted on July 16th, 2013 David Brooks No comments

More and more Android rumors and reports keep on pouring in recently, and there are some big announcements around the corner. Many much-anticipated phones have been hiding in the smoke of rumors for a long time. This post gathers the top rumors in the Android space which includes Droid series, Moto X, Refreshed HTC One and LG’s next smartphone.

    Motorola X Phone

After months of rumors and wild speculation, the Moto X project could ultimately result in a smartphone with midrange specifications. Details leaked a device with a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, a 720p HD OLED display, 16GB internal storage, and a 10-megapixel rear camera. It is certainly underpowered when compared to today’s top Androids. This upcoming Motorola Moto X smartphone might be taking voice assistance to the next level by making it possible to control your device without ever touching it. The ballyhooed Moto X could arrive as soon as August 23.

Motorola Droid Ultra, Droid MAXX, Droid Mini

Motorola has definitely been working on a new range of smartphones, and lately there has been a lot of buzz regarding these handsets – Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini. It has been speculated that the Droid Mini will be a “refreshed” Motorola Droid RAZR M, with the MAXX and Ultra being updated versions of last year’s Motorola Droid RAZR HD MAXX and RAZR HD respectively. They are boasting Kevlar encasing, which helps not only durability but also keeping the weight in check. Motorola decided to ditch the on-screen software buttons over three Android-specific capacitive buttons placed blow the display.

The new Droid Maxx should come with a battery that has even greater capacity. There are sources saying that the Motorola Droid Ultra will also have great battery stamina. Reports indicate that the flagship terminal of the Droid line-up will be able to stay awake for about 48 hours. As a release date of August 8 is shown for the Droid Ultra, it’s also likely that other Droids in the lineup will be launched at the same time, as happened last year.

    LG Optimus G2

For LG enthusiast who are looking to buy a 2013 flagship phone from the manufacturer. The Optimus G2 is a very good choice. LG has confirmed that the upcoming ‘G’ series smartphone will employ Qualcomm’s blazing-fast Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 2GB RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a full HD display of 5 inches or larger. LG Optimus G2 is rumored to arrive on August 7.

    Refreshed HTC One

The HTC One packs in powerful features and is undoubtedly one of the most popular Android smartphones around, but a recent report suggests that HTC may further bump up the specifications with the launch of an updated version. A refreshed version of the HTC One may arrive later in 2013. Details could include a faster and more powerful Snapdragon 800 processor as opposed to today’s Snapdragon 600. It also is rumored to pack in the upcoming Android 4.3 Jelly Bean instead of the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean found on the HTC One.

  • Morotola X Phone is quite customizable on color and design, reports said according to the latest leaks

Posted on July 4th, 2013 David Brooks No comments

The rumors about Motorola X Phone have never faded away even though it showed no appearance in Google I/O 2013 conference. If the rumors are right, then customization is going to be taken to a whole new level with the Motorola X Phone. According to sources speaking to ABC News, customers will be able to select the color of their device, and engrave a message on the back before shipment. The phone will be sold standard at carrier stores, and customized version will be sold through a website. Customers will also be able to upload a photo and personalized wallpaper to include.

    Motorola X Phone

However, despite earlier reports, besides a few storage options, the inner hardware will not be customizable. Sensors will be included though, and they sound awesome. For example, a flick on the phone will activate the camera, and the phone will automatically switch to speakerphone once it detects the phone is in the car.

The X Phone is supposed to launch by October of this year, compared to the previous reports of an August or later release of X Phone. Right now, it looks like it will be US-only, but we will see soon enough.

  • Mysterious Motorola X phone picture pops up as the XT1056 on Sprint’s LTE in testing

Posted on June 28th, 2013 David Brooks No comments

Reports about the Motorola X phone have been flooding the internet, even though Google announced nothing about this new device on Google I/O 2013 conference. The Motorola X phone seems to be fast approaching, and the latest rumor is for unveiling August 1st. What we’ve heard so far is that it will have around 4.7-inches 720p display, 1.7 GHz Snapdragon chipset, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of system memory, and focus will be on the accompanying features rather than the hardware. There’re also some other reports on Motorola X phone specs which provided even more detailed information.

    Motorola-XT1056-X-phone-Sprint

Now we just got sent a picture of a Motorola XT1056 device being tested on Sprint’s 4G LTE network, that our source believes is the mysterious Motorola X phone, and the same one that already passed the innards of the FCC, tipped to be a Sprint variant of the AT&T’s XFON that sports “5G” Wi-Fi and NFC.

They say that the screen is around 4.5 or 4.6″, but haven’t measured it exactly, so it might very well be the rumored 4.7″ panel, too. The phone is also running Android 4.2.2 and has 16 GB of internal storage, plus a removable battery.
